Cheesy Truffle Pesto Sticks
The perfect snack or appetizer! Mix it up and try different fillings.
Makes about 20 twists | difficulty level: easy
2 10"x10" sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
1/4 cup truffle pesto (I used this brand. You can also use plain pesto)
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, plus more for sprinkling
Marinara sauce for serving
Preheat oven to 380º F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lay out both puff pastry sheets onto a lightly floured workspace. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough until it is about 12"x12".
Spread the pesto on one of the puff pastry sheets leaving about a 1/4" border around all edges. Sprinkle cheese on top. Next, add the second puff pastry sheet on top and press down slightly around the edges to seal.
Using a pizza cutter, cut dough into 1" strips and twist the dough about 3 or 4 times. Lay the twists on the baking sheet and sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese. Bake just under 15 minutes or until golden brown.
