Frozen No-Bake Chocolate Mousse Bars
The perfect dessert when its too hot to turn on the oven! Recipe adapted from the New York Times Food recipe for No-Bake Chocolate Mousse Bars.
makes about 9 mousse squares | difficulty level: easy
crust:
- 9 whole graham crackers (1 pack)
- 4 tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 tablespoons granulated sugar
- pinch salt
mousse:
- 1/2 lb. semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups cold heavy cream
- 1 tsp. espresso powder
- pinch kosher salt
- 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
notes:
you can double this recipe and use a 9"x13" pan for the bars.
after cutting into squares, store in an airtight container in the freezer.
