Mini Cheddar and Chive Scones

Mini Cheddar and Chive Scones

makes about 14 scones  |  difficulty level: easy


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp. baking powder

  • 1 tsp. sugar

  • 5 oz. grated cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 oz. finely chopped chives

  • 1 cup plus 2 tbsp. heavy cream

  • 1 egg, beaten

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and prep a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, cheddar cheese, and chives.

  3. Make a well in the center and add the heavy cream. Gently toss the dry ingredients into the liquid. Do not overmix.

  4. Gently roll out the dough until it is just under 1/2 inch thick. Cut out round shaped pieces and place on the baking sheet and brush the tops with a beaten egg.

  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until scones are golden.
