Matcha Margaritas
This light cocktail with a kick was adapted from the Wicked Spoon's recipe for Spicy Matcha Margaritas.
makes 2 margaritas | difficulty level: easy
- 6 oz. green tea (any unsweetened kind will do, I used this brand)
- 4 oz. tequila
- 2 oz. lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 2 tsp. honey simple syrup (made with 1 tsp. melted honey and 1 tsp. water)
- 1/2 tsp. matcha powder (I used this brand)
- 4 slices jalapeño
- Using a large cocktail shaker, muddle the jalapeños and lime juice together.
- Fill shaker about a quarter of the way full with ice and add remaining ingredients. Shake vigorously until ice has melted and there are no clumps of matcha powder.
- Serve on the rocks and garnish with jalapeño and lime slices.
